December 2005 Schedule

#05-49: 11/28/05: Senfl at the Court of Maximilian--Continuing our series looking at the greatest of Swiss composers, we hear a new release from Rene Clemencic and his consort with Senfl and his friend Heinrich Isaac
(and others) in the Hapsburg court--much of the music is appropriate for Christmas.

#05-50: 12/05/05: Laudate Pueri: A Baroque Christmas--Happily, a second new disc by Dr. Clemencic features early baroque Christmas music by the famous (Schutz, Monteverdi) and obscure ( Bartolotti, Rodino, Finetti, and Cavazzoni).

#05-51: 12/12/05: A Mediterranean Christmas--Joel Cohen and his Boston Camerata are back, this time with
another examination of the fabulous cross-pollination between the fertile Occitan lands and the Islamic world, as all unite to make "the Christmas message of peace and reconciliation strong in our hearts."

#05-52: 12/19/05: A Bohemian Christmas--Another Millennium regular, Frederick Renz with his Early Music New York, is back with a Christmas celebration from late medieval Eastern Europe--some of the rarely-recorded and beautiful works from Poland, Hungary, and the Czech lands.

#06-01: 12/26/05 Feast of the Nativity of our Lord: After a return pilgrimage to the Benedictine Abbey of Chevetogne in Belgium, we have brought back a stunning new body of recordings, as this unique group continues its mission of uniting the ancient division between western & eastern Christianity through musical service
