Millennium of Music
November 2010
#10-45: 11/01/10--The William Byrd Edition: Volume XIII--Over the years we have tracked the progress of The Cardinall's Musick as they have presented the complete works of William Byrd; this week, the final installment, including the Propers for the Feast of All Saints.
#10-46: 11/08/10--In Nativitate Beatae Mariae Virginis--Few sacred services survived the 1537 Reformation in Norway; from a choir book written for office chanting in the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, the superb Schola Sanctae Sunnivae gives us a 13th century service for the Blessed Virgin.
#10-47: 11/15/10--Live from la Maison Française--Continuing our series working with the Embassy of France with our friends The Suspicious Cheese Lords in late medieval and Renaissance French repertoire, recorded as part of the Washington Early Music Festival.
#10-48: 11/22/10--Puer natus est---The brilliant young English ensemble is out with a Christmas disc, including the Tallis Missa "Puer natus est" and works by Byrd, Taverner, Sheppard, and Robert White.
