Monteverdi Commemoration at Utrecht, Part 2: Madrigals
During the 1993 Holland Early Music Festival, singers and instrumentalists from many of the best ensembles performing Baroque music today gathered for a spectacular concert of madrigals for large forces. This week's program continues the observance of the 350th anniversary of the death of Claudio Monteverdi, the greatest composer of the late Renaissance and early baroque.
