About Il Convito

Maude Gratton (harpsichord & organ) studied at the Conservatoire de Poitiers and won first prize in harpsichord, bass continuo, and organ at the Conservatoire national supérieur of Paris and received first prize in the Young Organist Competition in Saint-Germain des Fossés. She performs regularly in the Hantaï Ensemble, the Concert français, as well as festivals, such as the Old Music Festival in Bruges, the Young Talents concerts in Paris and the “Folle Journée” in Nantes. She has recorded Jenkins' works for continuo on Naive-Ambronnay Records, J.S. Bach's orchestra suites on Mirare Records and recently took part in the recording of the sonatas for cello and continuo by Vivaldi on Ambroisie Records.

Maude Gratton founded the ensemble Il Convito in 2005 with her sister Claire Gratton and Stéphanie Paulet.

Claire Gratton (cello) performs in the Mensa Sonora (led by Jean Maillet), L'ensemble baroque de Nice (led by Gilbert Benzina) and Pulcinella (led by Jean Maillet). She studied at the Conservatoire de Poitier and in Bordeaux, and has several recordings with Le concert des nations led by Jordi Savall.

Stéphanie Paulet (violin) has performed with Ensemble inter-contemporain, the Mahler-Chamber-Orchestra, the Paris Orchestra and numerous festivals in Europe. She received her training from the Conservatoire national supérieur of Paris and has been the recipient of several international competition awards.
