Happy Birthday, William Shakespeare

Program: #93-16🎁   Air Date: Apr 19, 1993

00:00

As the Bard himself once said, "The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, strategems, and spoils." In celebration of Shakespeare's birthday (April 23rd) we once again return to the Folger Shakespeare Library, and a live performance by the Folger Consort of music the Bard heard and sometimes used at the Globe Theater.
