There is very little known from early writings about the death of the Virgin Mary.. except that her body disappeared miraculously, and that, as opposed to every other figure in early Christianity except for Christ himself, there are no relics that have ever been claimed to be those of the Virgin. In preparation for the Feast on August 15th, Fr. Jerome Weber, Early Music critic for Fanfare Magazine, shares some of the musical mystery of this event.
