We sometimes get asked whether a Millennium of Music subscriber can listen to our music on Sonos speakers. The answer is: it depends.
Plug Your Phone or Tablet Into Your Sonos Speaker
The simplest option is to access MillenniumOfMusic.com on your phone or tablet, and then connect this device to your Sonos speaker. You can log in and navigate our site as usual, and any music you play will output through your speakers.
Sonos has more detail on this solution here: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1091.
Not all Sonos speakers have this option, though. Also, as that Sonos help page explains, you will need a special connector wire. But these wires are very inexpensive, and can be ordered easily.
A "Music Service"? Unfortunately, No.
You might wish that you could access Millennium of Music directly as a "music service", as you might with Pandora or Spotify.
Unfortunately, this will not work with our website.
We also cannot be accessed as an "Internet Radio" station.
We have a specific setup: you log in to our website, and then you can browse shows depending on your access level. As far as we can tell, this is basically too complex for Sonos to handle.
For this to work, we would need to be a "music service" (https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2768) like Pandora or Spotify. Frankly ... we have no idea how we would ever make that happen and integrate our system with theirs. The cost would probably exceed our entire yearly subscriber base by at least an order of magnitude. 🙁
Our Weekly Show on SiriusXM
If you use SiriusXM, you can access the Millennium of Music SiriusXM show when it airs. See https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/111 for how to access SiriusXM. For the channel and time of our weekly show, see https://www.millenniumofmusic.com/where-to-listen/ (at the bottom).
We hope you find a way to enjoy our music with your gorgeous Sonos speakers. If you know of another solution here we're not aware of, please contact us and let us know, so we can share it with other subscribers. Thank you!
