A Medieval English Christmas

Program: #91-51🎁   Air Date: Dec 23, 1991

00:00

The holly and the ivy, carols and mistletoe, wassail and feasting... This holiday special traces much of what we identify as the Christmas holiday to its roots in the tribal customs and celebrations of the peoples of the British Isles. What they invented, the Christmas carol, was as Robert Aubry Davis shows us, the perfect blend of folk music and sacred art.
