Occasionally on the program over its history, we have shared personal experiences and moments that have inspired us in this work.

Preservation of this program is made possible by a generous grant in honor of the many people over the years that helped to make Millennium of Music possible.

This program is a peregrination through an old record collection, and a snapshot in time of my process in evolving Millennium of Music.

Some of these recordings can be still be found, some cannot. Instead of a music list, let me issue an invitation: come and listen to the sometimes scratchy memories of a then-45-year-old man who had already spent 20 years doing a thing he loved well.

Robert Aubry Davis as Bach in 1985.
